**THE GRANDFATHER OF THE INTERNET** **a conversation with David Farber** RES COGITANS - conversations with interesting people. DESCRIPTION ============================================================== I had a conversation with David Farber, who is known as the "grandfather of the internet". We met in Tokyo and talked for several hours. I recorded some of it - you can see a magnificent view of Tokyo Tower in the background (the location is in the central district of Tokyo, Minato-ku). I often meet interesting people and I sometimes wished I recorded some of our conversations. I haven't decided if I'll continue posting such videos (I might do so if the community finds it valuable). If I continue in the future, it might turn into a podcast-style series of videos (which I named "res cogitans" for now). I intend to keep them relatively short (less than half an hour per episode).
